Remember the baby hat I made recently for my friend's new baby? Well, our two grandsons were invited to this baby's older brother's birthday party so along with our gift for the birthday boy I wrapped this little hat up to deliver! It just fit! I love being able to make a baby gift myself. The little guys name is Jediah. He looks a lot like his grandpa!
The party theme was ninjas so each kid got a ninja hat.. they were having lots of fun! I got to hold the baby and it was so neat to have a little one in my arms again. But as soon as he started fussing, I gave him back. LOL! Do you see my 2 little grandsons?
After the party we went to Costco.. on a Sunday.. oh my.. but we managed to get through it all and out unscathed. Dayle walked all around the huge store in good order, so I was happy about that. On the way home from the big shopping trip I pulled over to get a photo of our local dragon. It's the two tone camellias that I wanted to get a photo of, actually.
Aren't these pretty flowers?
When we got home I noticed that the first blossoms on the Star Magnolia tree were open.. :-)
I love the lichen and moss covered branches of this tree and the furry bud covers.
The Daphne bush is absolutely covered with blooms this year.. a great showing and the smell is off the charts!
I wish blogs had "smell-a-vision"!
I finished the book below - thanks Gracie! It was a good read and I felt I learned some things. I can recommend it for sure!
Now, a big *T*H*A*N*K* * *Y*O*U*!*!*!* to Koralee from the blog "Bluebird Notes"! I won her recent giveaway and just received the package. What a generous and special gift from a lovely and kind and sweet blog friend! She sent 5 of her photo design postcards, 3 spools of sparkly ribbon, some fun pinwheel stickers and the cutest little bag of the sweetest little buttons.. and a precious handwritten note. I am so lucky to have such a nice friend! Please do click on the link above and visit her blog. Each time she posts I am enraptured by her photos and her encouraging sentiments. Thanks, Koralee!
The ribbon spools even have her own logo on them!
The cards were wrapped in tissue and tied with a cotton lace ribbon.. how sweet.
Koralee's designs have been published in many magazines.. she's quite a rock star in my opinion. :-)
Tomorrow I swim with Gracie and Friday we are having a blog girl's lunch. Betsy is bringing a doily she made for my baby grand piano to give to me.. I'm so excited!! It will be Gracie, Betsy, Taci and I and maybe a new NW blog girl.. fun huh? Today I got my Medicare card and a new military ID to go with it. Dayle is a retired officer of the Army so we both get military ID. OK, time to rest after a day of running errands. I hope your week is going well. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
