Boston Trip/ Roycroft/ Christmas Gift Ideas

It was printed by The Ascensius Press http://www.ascensiuspress.com/ I guess this was a Christmas gift to myself because I really did not need another bookplate. On the other hand It gives me great pleasure to own this miniature print by an extremely talented artist.

I just returned from Boston where I attended a book show on Friday and an ephemera show on Saturday.The Benedict Prieth plate was purchased from Tom Boss . It was designed by Samuel Warner at Roycroft. If you are thinking about a Christmas gift for someone special you may want to contact Tom because he maintains the largest inventory of old bookplates in the U.S. He can sort by country, style, artist or subject.
